Sales Account Manager—United States
To succeed in this role, you will need to execute both remote and in-person sales of smartflower solutions. You must demonstrate expertise in selling strategically within a 6–12-month sales cycle, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will employ a combination of strategic sales planning, creative approaches, and proactive engagement with key decision-makers across targeted accounts.
A strong drive, combined with the ability to stay focused, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, is essential. This role will require high-level C-Suite interaction within management, marketing, and sustainability departments. You will interface primarily with commercial, institutional and industrial facilities in the assigned region, building a high-value pipeline of sales opportunities. This position has unlimited growth potential and will report directly to the President of the Company.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new orders, manage client relationships and establish a deep and ongoing understanding of the client’s business goals, issues, and needs. Document all sales activities in SmartFlower’s CRM.
• Ensure that the customer has an exceptional product life cycle experience
• Leverage a strong understanding of the customer needs to identify and qualify forward-thinking, high-impact opportunities for the use SmartFlower Solar solutions to support and promote sustainability and marketing/branding.
• Respond timely to inbound leads and target new in-territory customers and opportunities. Build a strong opportunity pipeline.
• Drive effective presentations and proposals. Manage the overall sales process from a lead to sales fulfillment.
• Follow up on SmartFlower Solar marketing campaigns.
Qualifications:
• Previous account development experience and successful track record, preferably 5 years+.
• Diverse work experience, including startups, small companies, and large companies.
• Experience with distributed generation, government/municipal, energy services, advertising/branding or utility equipment capital sales
• Excellent business, problem solving, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, driven, and independent but a strong team player.
• Strategic, thoughtful, inquisitive.
• Strong people skills – intuitive, empathetic, influential, persuasive.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong work ethic & high integrity.
• MS Office and Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Occasional travel is required.
Compensation
• Salary plus Commission. Health, Dental, 401k, etc.

This full- time position will be based in our Boston, MA office. Typical work hours are 8:00AM -5:00PM.
